2022 Canoe Sprint Championships and Oceania Championships Update

In response to the extreme weather being experienced in Penrith in NSW, Paddle Australia (PA) wishes to provide the Sprint community with the following update in relation to the staging of the 2022 PA Canoe Sprint Championships and Oceania Championships, scheduled for 13-16 April.

We are working with the NSW Office of Sport, Penrith City Council, and other relevant stakeholders to closely monitor the situation, and we continue to plan for the competition to be held at the Sydney International Regatta Centre (SIRC) in Penrith between Wednesday the 13th and Saturday the 16th of April.

PA’s strong desire is to deliver a safe and successful competition, and contingency locations and dates are also being considered. In order to provide participants time to plan their travel arrangements and participation at the competition, PA will determine if the competition will move to an alternate date, and/or alternate location, on Friday 18th March.
