FIVE THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THE ICF CANOE SLALOM WORLD CUP OPENER IN PRAGUE

The 2022 ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup season gets underway in Prague, Czech Republic this weekend.

Australia will be represented by a 9-strong team headlined by Olympic champion Jessica Fox and dual Olympian Lucien Delfour.

OUR AUSSIE TEAM

Australia will have nine team members at the 2022 ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup in Prague.

Three women in Jessica Fox and Noemie Fox will represent in both kayak and canoe events with Georgina Collin lining up in the women’s kayak, with Lucien Delfour, Tim Anderson and Ben Pope set to contest the men’s kayak and Tristan Carter, Kaylen Bassett and Brodie Crawford competing in the men’s canoe.

THE SCHEDULE

Heats for both the men’s and women’s kayak and canoe events will be held on Friday 10 June, with the Kayak semis and finals to be held on Saturday 11 June followed by Canoe and Extreme Slalom on Sunday 12 June.

HOST CITY

Canoe Slalom has a rich history in Prague, and Australia’s athletes have enjoyed many success at the course with Jessica Fox winning gold in the canoe and bronze in the kayak at last year’s World Cup in Prague.
