- How did you get involved in the sport / canoe slalom? Marseille as a kid – My Papi (Grandpa) ran a kayak club in Marseille, Mum was a paddler, Dad was a paddler. Then they became coaches and we moved to Australia in 1998. As an 11 year old I started again in Penrith and enjoyed going on the whitewater.
- What has been your biggest accomplishment in the sport so far? London and Rio Olympic Games and the 2018 season winning the double world title and double world cup.
- Greatest influence on your career? My parents and papa.
- Personal Achievements (non-sport)? Getting a great score in my high school certificate (dux of school and top of the state in a subject), completing a bachelor degree at uni and looking at further study in 2020 or 2021, maintaining friendships & relationship while travelling 6 months of the year! Meeting lots of dogs. Recently raising funds for the fires through Christmas cards.
- What keeps you busy outside of paddling? Media/sponsor commitments, personal projects, finding dogs to pat and cleaning my room.
- Greatest influence on your career? My parents.
- Who inspires you?Anna Meares, Lydia Lassila, Layne Beachley, Tony Estanguet
- Favourite sporting moment? Being in the Olympic Athletics stadium in London 2012 and seeing Usain Bolt as well as the night 3 british gold medals were won – it was electric!
- Favourite Australian personality? Zoe Foster Blake (& her whole family).
- What keeps you busy outside of paddling? Media/sponsor commitments, personal projects, finding dogs to pat and cleaning my room.
- On your day off… I’ll catch up with friends for a coffee, go to the beach, or have some media/sponsor commitments to do.
- How would your best friend describe you? Kind, fun, driven and slightly dog obsessed.
- What scares you the most? Snakes
- Superstitions before a race? It’s not really a superstition, but I always plait my hair.
- Favourite place to paddle? Home. But love the London Lee Valley course.
- Favourite song to paddle to? Don’t Stop Me Now (Queen).
- Favourite holiday destination? The beach or mountains.
- Fun fact about you? I like to paint.. speak fluent French.. make a mean chocolate fondant
