PADDLE AUSTRALIA – 2024 CANOE WILDWATER EVENT ENTRIES
Paddle Australia in conjunction with Paddle Victoria and the Canoe Wildwater Technical Committees of Paddle Victoria and Paddle Australia are pleased to announce that registrations are now open for the 2024 Canoe Wildwater Age Championships (Register HERE) and for the 2024 PA Canoe Wildwater Selection Event (Register HERE).
2024 Paddle Australia Canoe Wildwater Age Championships
The Paddle Victoria Wildwater Technical Committee are proudly hosting the 2024 Paddle Australia Canoe Wildwater Age Championships, part of the 2024 Paddle Australia Whitewater Age Championships which also includes Slalom (Register HERE) and Freestyle (Register HERE) events.
This exciting Wildwater event will be held on a beautiful section of the Goulburn River in Eildon, Victoria during the 3rd and 4th of January and will introduce paddlers to a fast-flowing river while experiencing a few short sections of Grade 1/2 rapids.
This event will recognise and acknowledge the best performing Australian Wildwater athletes as well as the best performing general class paddlers by age, class and event. Paddlers and athletes of all ages are encouraged to participate with medals being awarded to all age groups, including masters, open age & juniors.
2024 Paddle Australia Canoe Wildwater Selection Event
The Paddle Australia Canoe Wildwater Technical Committee invites all competitors, including athletes nominating for selection to an Australian Wildwater Team in 2024, to attend this selection event at the Mitta Mitta River in Dartmouth, Victoria from the 12th to the 14th of January 2024.
This selection event has been timed to coincide with an environmental water release facilitated by Gouldburn-Murray Water, with peak water levels expected from midday Friday the 12th of January.
Those athletes that nominate for selection are competing for a place in the 2024 Australian Canoe Wildwater Senior Team, who will represent Australia at the 2024 ICF Wildwater Canoeing World Championships in Sabero, Spain from the 14th to the 18th of August 2024.
