PA releases approved Paris 2024 Paralympic Canoe Team Nomination and Selection Criteria

Paddle Australia has today released the approved 2024 Paralympic Canoe Team Nomination Criteria.

A complex and detailed approval process saw Paddle Australia work with Paralympics Australia for many months on the development of this policy. We thank those who gave their valuable time and input into this process.

The Australian team had their first chance to secure quotas for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games at the 2023 World Championships in Germany, with another chance to secure remaining quotas at the 2024 World Championships.

The nomination process finalises in May 2024, following the completion of the domestic season.

We take this opportunity to recognise the preparation and commitment that goes into readiness for selection, not only from the athletes themselves but also from coaches, family members, volunteers, discipline technical committee and officials whose support is invaluable.

We look forward to supporting our athletes to become the world’s best paddlers and people during their Paralympic journey.
