Queensland will play host to Level 3 Para Canoe Classifier and Coach Workshops in early 2024, with the courses set to take place on 20-23 February on the Gold Coast.
Offered by the ICF with the support of Paddle Australia, the workshops will be held at the Mermaid Waters Hotel and allow those who successfully complete the course to classify athletes at the national level.
As well as circulating official information about the new ICF Classification system, the workshops aim to give athletes earlier exposure to the system, increase the number of Level 3 classifiers at the national level and provide coaching advice and direction for Para Canoe programming.
Registration for the workshops will be 300 euros per person which will be payable to the ICF.
