Wildwater Technical Committee Expression of Interest

Over the last two years, Paddle Australia management has been working closely with the Wildwater community, with the assistance of a small Advisory Group, to develop exciting new opportunities for Wildwater paddlers. This work has seen a focus on development with camps at the Snowy River and Penrith and the introduction of two Wildwater Sprint Grand Prix events, being held in conjunction with the Canoe Slalom and Freestyle events at the Penrith Whitewater Stadium in February 2019.

Given the work that has been done over the past 12 months and the renewed interest in the discipline that is starting to emerge, the Board of Paddle Australia has resolved to reconstitute the Wildwater Technical Committee. Paddle Australia is now seeking expressions of interests from individuals willing to contribute through membership of the Wildwater Technical Committee.

Paddle Australia’s Technical Committees play a key role in the development of each discipline. Each of the paddlesports disciplines for which Paddle Australia is responsible has an associated Technical Committee that provides operational advice and support on the running of that discipline.  If you believe that you have the relevant background and skills to keep the Wildwater discipline moving ahead, please submit your expression of interest by Sunday 9th December 2018 to join the Technical Committee here.
