2016 Australian Canoe Marathon National Championships

The 2016 Australian Canoe Marathon Championships was held at Lake Coomera, Gold Coast, Queensland over the 26-27 March, 2016 and was a very successful weekend.

AC would like to congratulate the 257 competitors from NSW, QLD, VIC, South Australia, WA and New Zealand, for their professionalism and sportsmanship over the Championships. Mr. Jerry Dunn (AC Marathon Racing Technical Committee Chair) commented on the “competition was held on a challenging and tactical course. Much praise has been received from the athletes and spectators as 95% of the course was visible from the start/finish area.  The Organising Committee from Queensland are to be commended for their efforts in hosting a successful championships.
