FIVE THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THE 2022 JUNIOR AND U23 CANOE SPRINT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

The 2022 Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint World Championships get underway in Szeged, Hungary this weekend.

We’ve got you covered with everything you need to know, and how to stay up to date as our Aussies fly the flag.

THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

The 2022 Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint will be held in Szeged, Hungary – the home of canoe sprint. The event will get underway on Wednesday 31 August, running through until Sunday 4 September.

OUR AUSSIE TEAM

Australia will be represented by a 28-strong team headlined by Olympic gold medalist Tom Green and Senior World Championships silver medalist Georgia Sinclair.

14 athletes will compete in the Junior event, with 14 athletes set to line up in the U23 events.

Racing will commence at the 2022 Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint World Championships on Wednesday 31 August, at 5pm AEST.
