7PLUS TO LIVESTREAM FINALS OF 2022 ICF CANOE SLALOM WORLD CUP 4 AND 5

Paddle Australia is pleased to announce the Seven Network as the official streaming partner of the remaining events on the 2022 ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup tour.

The deal will see the canoe, kayak and extreme slalom finals at both of the remaining World Cup events (Pau and La Seu) streamed live on 7plus.

Paddle Australia CEO Phil Jones said: “Following the success of our team at the recent World Championships, we are excited to partner with 7plus and the International Canoe Federation to bring the finals of the Canoe Slalom World Cup to more fans across Australia.

“With only two World Cup events remaining, we have reached the pointy end of the season and there is sure to be plenty of thrills and spills for our Australian Canoe Slalom team.

“This is a great opportunity to stream the action across Australia’s number one broadcaster, and gives us the perfect chance to showcase the very best of our sport and share the inspiring stories of our world class athletes,” he said.

AUSTRALIAN CANOE SLALOM TEAM SET TO MAKE WORLD CUP RETURN FOLLOWING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Australian Canoe Slalom team have arrived in France ahead of the penultimate ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup event of the season.

Almost four weeks after winning a gold and two silver medals at the 2022 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships in Augsburg, Germany, Jessica Fox will again bolster the 9-strong Australian team that will compete in World Cup 4 Pau, France this weekend.

The Australian team includes Fox’s younger sister Noemie Fox and dual Olympian Lucien Delfour who are both eyeing off podium performances this weekend. After an impressive World Championships performance, Tim Anderson will also be looking to impress in the men’s kayak.

Georgina Collin will also come back into the team, and have another opportunity in the women’s kayak in World Cup 4 and 5.

Athletes will also compete in the new Olympic discipline of Extreme Slalom, in which Jess Fox is the 2x World Champion and Noemie won a silver medal earlier in the World Cup season.

The ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup 4 will be held in Pau, France from 26-28 August 2022.
