Paddle Australia Canoe Slalom Recovery Plan for Community Feedback

Slalom

There are few other paddling disciplines that have been impacted to the level Canoe Slalom has been by the COVID-19 pandemic in the past two years.

In May, the Paddle Australia (PA) Board asked the Canoe Slalom Technical Committee (PASLTC) for their recommendations, with PA Management support, to develop a Canoe Slalom Recovery Plan. The below paper was presented and discussed at the September Board meeting.

This document outlines the proposed way forward, to better support and retain current Canoe Slalom paddlers, and secure growth in participation for a thriving and sustainable future.

PA are seeking final input from those involved in the Canoe Slalom community on the Canoe Slalom Recovery Plan. Feedback on the Canoe Slalom Recovery Plan is welcome, and can be directed to slalom.development@paddle.org.au by 5pm AEDT Tuesday 30 November.

Paddle Australia look forward to the positive input from the Canoe Slalom community at this critical time.
