A huge crowd was in attendance to witness SA Premier Steven Marshall and the Minister for the Environment and Water David Speirs ‘cut the ribbon’ on the picturesque water catchment, which is located on the Fleurieu Peninsula, approximately 60kms south of Adelaide.

A dedicated team of instructors supported multiple convoys of individuals, pairs and family groups as they participated in the free Come and Try paddling sessions provided by Paddle SA throughout the day.

Another highlight on the program was an exhibition race by the state’s finest sprint canoe and kayak athletes.
