Carley Goodwin

Carley Goodwin began canoe polo in 2008 in South Australia. She and her twin sister Stacey were introduced to canoe polo by a friend from university.

In 2009 she secured a position on the U21 Australian Women’s Canoe Polo Team for the Oceania Canoe Polo Championships where the team placed 1st.

She stepped up to the Australian Women’s Canoe Polo Team (B Team) for the 2011 Oceania Canoe Polo Championships and then to the Women’s A Team for the 2013, 2015 and 2017 Oceania Championships. Carley played a key role in the 2013 and 2015 team’s success in placing 1st.

Her talent and presence on the field continues to build, and in 2017 she was named Australian Women’s Canoe Polo Team vice Captain. She will attend the 2018 World Canoe Polo Championships in the honourable role of the Australian Women’s Team Captain.

Carley’s game has benefited from solid support in SA, ACT and NSW canoe polo communities and she is motivated by the pure fun of the game, meeting new people and challenging her fitness every step of the way.
