  • How did you get into paddling?
I started out in Surf Life Saving and through the National Talent ID program took up kayaking when I was 16. I originally started to help my ski paddling but quickly fell in love with the sport.
  • What has been your biggest accomplishment in the sport so far?
Being a finalist in the K2 500 at the 2016 Olympic Games and becoming the K1 1000 World Champion in 2017.
  • What keeps you busy outside of paddling? What is your current occupation and/or university degree?
I have a Bachelor of Communication and a Masters of Business Administration. I work for myself as a digital marketing consultant with small businesses which keeps me super busy.
  • Who has been the greatest influence on your career?
Definitely all of my training partners. Day in and day out the girls challenge me on the water and make me a better paddler and person. There’s no way I could do it without them.
  • How would your best friend describe you?
    Tall and loud.
  • Do you have any superstitions before a race?
I always race with something pink on me. Whether it’s my boat, my hair tie, nail polish or my crop top, there’s always something pink!
  • What is your favourite course to paddle on?
Szeged, Hungary. Whilst it’s not the prettiest lake in the world, the atmosphere when racing there is electric.
  • Previous National Teams:
    Junior (2009), U23 (2013-2015), Senior (2010-2011, 2013-current), Olympic (2016).
