  • At what age did you start paddling and how did you become involved in the sport?
I started kayaking when I was 10 years old. My brother was selected to try the sport through the SASI Talent Identification and I seemed to enjoy it so I decided to give it a go.
  • What has inspired you to train and compete at an international level?
Seeing others do so and learning about all the experiences that have come from it.
  • What is the best advice you have been given and why?
The best advice I’ve been given is to enjoy the journey because you’re not going to enjoy the outcome as much if you’ve stopped loving the sport.
  • What do you do for fun and relaxation?
I like to paint or draw and listen to music.
  • What is your favourite thing about the sport?
I like the feeling after you’ve done a really hard session or had a great race.
